From Shopify to Nordstrom: How We Helped Aimée Ann Lou Go Live with Mirakl

When high-end footwear brand Aimée Ann Lou decided to expand its retail footprint, Nordstrom Marketplace was the clear next step. Known for its premium curation and loyal customer base, Nordstrom could be a game-changing platform—but getting onboard required more than just filling out a form. We had already built their Shopify website, so it was only natural they turned to us to lead the next phase of growth.

The Challenge: A Premium Brand with No Room for Error

  • Aimée Ann Lou’s reputation rests on elegance, quality, and precision. So, when it came time to launch on Nordstrom, every product listing, asset, and integration had to reflect that same level of polish.

  • The Nordstrom Marketplace is powered by Mirakl, a global marketplace technology platform also used by major retailers like Bloomingdale’s and Galeries Lafayette. It’s powerful, but not exactly plug-and-play for Shopify brands. The process demands strong coordination across teams, tech platforms, and third-party logistics providers.

Our Role: Strategy, Setup, and Seamless Integration

  • We acted as the liaison between Aimée Ann Lou, Mirakl, and Nordstrom’s onboarding team, managing every step of the process so our client could stay focused on design and fulfillment.

  • We handled the entire Mirakl Connect setup, from registration to testing. This included uploading brand documents, registering users, assigning permissions, and configuring tax and shipping profiles.

  • Once approved, we completed the backend integration using the Mirakl Connector app within Shopify, mapping the product feed, pricing, and inventory rules.

 

Assets That Sell ~ and Sell the Brand

  • We crafted each product listing to align with Nordstrom’s content standards while preserving Aimée Ann Lou’s distinctive voice.

  • Our creative team collaborated with the client to polish titles, descriptions, and product imagery that met both brand and retailer guidelines.

  • We also built in smart fallbacks for any listing errors flagged by Mirakl, ensuring the store stayed compliant and visible.

Coordination Across Partners

  • Because Aimée Ann Lou uses Renewal Logistics as their 3PL partner, we coordinated shipping settings to match warehouse capabilities and Nordstrom’s SLAs.

  • We also communicated with Nordstrom’s onboarding team to resolve questions on SKUs, packaging, and delivery timeframes, avoiding delays that could stall the go-live date.

  • As part of the go-to-market strategy, we helped the team leverage their presence on Mirakl to open up future marketplace opportunities, including Bloomingdale’s, Galeries Lafayette, and other high-end retailers using the same infrastructure.

The Result: Marketplace-Ready and Built to Scale

  • The entire process, from initial kickoff to approval and integration, was completed within a few short weeks.

  • Aimée Ann Lou’s first product batch is now live on Nordstrom.com, with ongoing support in place to manage seasonal uploads and future collections.

  • The brand now has a scalable blueprint for future Mirakl-connected marketplaces because once you’re set up, the sky’s the limit.
