Part 8: Your post-migration playbook for long-term success
So your new site is live. Now what? This post walks through the “now that we’ve launched” phase, where brands often drop the ball. This is where the ROI actually kicks in.
Your Migration Isn’t Over Just Because You Hit ‘Publish’
The site’s up. Orders are flowing. But now is the time to:
Check Google Search Console for index errors
Monitor site speed and performance under real user conditions
Watch abandoned cart behavior (it may shift)
Start collecting data on new features or layouts
Reintroduce Yourself to Your Customers
New platform, new vibe. Let your audience know what’s changed and how it benefits them:
Announce the new experience via email and SMS
Add new customers to a fresh welcome series
Use popups to highlight features like faster checkout or new loyalty options
Build on What You’ve Done
Think of your new platform as a foundation, not a finish line.
Test new Shopify apps or integrations now that your tech stack is stronger
Revamp your gift guides, landing pages, or product bundles for the season
Get creative with UGC, reviews, or live shopping (see our post on Dior’s Live Commerce strategy)
Don’t Forget Your Team
Train your internal team to take ownership of the new system:
Host a mini internal training session
Document workflows while the process is fresh
Revisit permissions and roles so everyone’s in the right seat
